I need to charter a particular type of vessel with specific requirements. What’s the best way to locate and filter for available vessels that match my criteria? Any recommendations?

Two approaches come to mind for this problem:

  1. Use advanced search, in MagicPort maritime intelligence - https://intelligence.magicport.ai – select advanced search, including scheduled arrivals (if you want to search within vessels heading to your port) or nearby search (if searching vessels around certain port). After adding your port or country, select filter vessels and add filters such as vessel type, size, owner/manager information, etc. This will bring you the vessels around certain areas or heading to certain areas you select.

  2. If you know your target market segment and their IMOs – let’s say you have the list of IMOs of the vessels you are interested in. Just create a fleet and upload excel file including your IMO list. This will put your vessels into a fleet – and then you can see anytime – where these vessels are, if any of them are close to your interest area or headed there.
